All events in the Cadet category will use our 160cc Biz karts that have adjustable pedals and seat position. Full safety briefing and brake test is given before any child pulls out of the pitlane.

Family Experiences

Important: Family sessions are automatically exclusive and are limited to 6 drivers on circuit (Adults and Cadet Drivers).

Perfect for family outings, our family experiences allow adults and children to race together on the same track. This is a great way to bond and have fun as a family.

Please Note: Groups including drivers aged 8-13 years will drive the smaller circuit.

Cadet Starter

Age 8-16 Race Academy Starter - £59

Our Cadet Race Academy Taster experience package is ideal as a gift for all those young budding drivers out there. This karting lesson will give your driver an insight into the secrets behind the perfect racing line.

Safety is our number one priority, and all of our instructors are experienced in various types of motorsports, with a couple being both British & World Champions!

Training Program

  1. Step 1: Safety briefing & Suit Up
  2. Step 2: Track walk with only the highly experienced members of the Raceway Kart Centre team
  3. Step 3: Tour of the kart and its controls
  4. Step 4: Track session following one of our instructors, showing the safest and easiest racing lines around the track (15 mins)
  5. Step 5: Break & track map session
  6. Step 6: Timed session to practice the racing line that has been taught (10 mins)

Advanced Training

Cadet Race Academy

The Race Academy is the next step on your racing journey. These courses will teach you to become a more consistent and all round much safer driver.

Payment Plan: £60 deposit, then £50 upon arrival of each lesson.

This is our beginner course that will teach children to understand the following:

  • - Kart controls
  • - Racing line
  • - Confidence in driving
  • - Understanding of rules & flags
  • - Ability to safely drive within their limits

Intermediate

This course will teach children to understand the following:

  • - Overtaking preparation & manoeuvres
  • - Confidence to drive side by side
  • - Using novice academy tips to overtake
  • - Improve speed & overall lap time

Expert

This course will teach children to understand the following:

  • - Defensive lines
  • - How and when to defend their position
  • - Combine all academy course tips to complete their race craft
  • - Rolling starts
  • - Race starts knowledge
